Still want to enter the Azbee Awards,
but you have questions, doubts, or are uncertain about how to enter?
Never fear! The Chicago Chapter of ASBPE is ready to help!
Join us December 20 in Schaumburg, where we'll have past Azbees judges and winners answering your questions, such as:
How do I choose the best categories to enter?
What do judges look for in a winning editorial or design entry?
How do I put together the entry to really promote its strengths and make it stand out from the crowd?
We'll discuss the benefits of the Azbees Award process -- why it's good practice for editors and designers to enter awards programs, ways to convince your editor and publisher to approve the entry fee expense, and how to promote a win or even a finalist mention!
(Tip: It's also educational to volunteer to be a Azbees category judge, especially when you have the opportunity to confer with fellow judges.)
Date: Wednesday, Dec. 20
Time: 4 to 7 p.m.
Location: Putman Media, 1501 N. Woodfield Rd., Suite 400N, Schaumburg, IL
Directions: Putman Media is on the 4th floor of a four-story, white building between the two large black Pepsi and Verizon buildings on the north and south ends of the business complex. Enter the building on the west side (Meacham Rd.), check in at the circular security desk on the north side of the atrium, take the closest elevators to the 4th floor, and signs will direct you to the ASBPE meeting room.
This is an informal event! Please stop by, get some questions answered, have a snack, and guess what: You'll still be able to finish your holiday shopping that evening (our meeting site is just south of Woodfield Mall).
There is NO CHARGE for this chapter event. However, please RSVP so we know how many plan to attend.
Questions? Call, text or email Jim Montague, ASBPE Chicago Chapter treasurer and executive editor of Control magazine at Putman: (847) 404-6658 (mobile), firstname.lastname@example.org
Special thanks to Putman Media for providing the meeting space
